The Counseling Atelier is a private practice owned and operated by Kacey Durden, M.Ed., LPC-Associate.

In 2021, I obtained a B.A. in Psychology, and in 2024 I completed a M.Ed. in Counseling & Development from Lamar University. For nearly 7 years I worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital ER where I learned the beautiful dichotomy of trauma and resiliency, and the perseverance of the human spirit. I have been married to my husband, my best friend, my childhood sweetheart for 6 years. We share a spoiled Golden Retriever named Daisy.

In accordance with licensing rules and regulations, I am supervised by Shana Mercer, M.Ed., LPC-S. Shana has worked as an LPC for over a decade, specializing in trauma and forensic counseling.
